Neighborhoods
Neighborhood organizations are an important element in any city. They give residents a way to connect, not only with their surrounding neighbors, but with local government officials and provide a venue through which to form partnerships that can help to improve life and livability in any neighborhood.

Parking Information
Parking on the streets in and around the square is limited to 2 hours between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays. In these areas, signs clearly indicate the 2 hour limit. Public parking lots provide unlimited, free parking just off the square.

Whether physical connections - like trails that connect neighborhoods to schools and parks - or social connections - through special events and recreation programs - the Liberty Parks and Recreation Department strives to enhance the quality of life for the Liberty community.

You will receive 1 property tax bill and 1 personal property tax bill for your City of Liberty and Clay County taxes. All tax payments, current and delinquent, should be paid to Clay County.

Liberty Senior Services offers support services and a variety of social activities and programs to the seniors of our community. A dedicated and caring staff provides participants with referral services when needed.

Trash, Recycling & Yard Waste
The City of Liberty prides itself on having a comprehensive solid waste management program. This program includes semi-automated trash and yard waste collection, curbside recycling, drop-off recycling, and participation in a household hazardous waste collection program.
