COVID-19 Update

  1. Facility Closure Deadline Extended

    Clay County will join its neighbors in issuing a stay-at-home order for Clay County residents. Beginning 3/24, all City facilities will be closed to the public through 4/24.

Per recommendations from Mid-America Regional Council (MARC) to help reduce the risk of COVID-19, the Liberty Silver Center programs and lunches are suspended until May 15. We are monitoring the situation and recommendations and will keep you updated.

The Liberty Silver Center, located in the Liberty Community Center, is a place where older adults (60+) come to socialize, participate in activities and special events, and enjoy a hot nutritious meal.

With a wide variety of activities, the Silver Center is designed to meet a variety of needs and social interests and offers plenty of opportunities to exercise your mind and body! 

  • The center offers a wide range of activities, including card playing, Bingo, board games and special scheduled outings
  • Annual flu shots and informational health workshops are scheduled on a regular basis
  • Exercise and aquatic classes taught by certified instructors are available each day
  • A hot noon meal, prepared by a local caterer is available to center participants. Advance reservations are required by noon the day prior to your arrival. A donation of $2 is accepted
