Hire an Off-Duty Officer

The Liberty Police Department has partnered with Extra Duty Solutions (EDS) to handle the administration of extra duty details worked by Liberty Police Officers. 

To request an extra duty detail please complete the online request form. If the detail is recurring or is multiple days, please document that information in the comments section. An EDS Account Manager will contact you for clarification if needed.

Extra duty details are filled on a voluntary basis and the potential for unfilled requests exists. EDS will do its best to fill all requests on a first come, first served basis. 

Extra duty rates are as follows:

• Officer rate (more than 7 days notice): $58.27 per hour
• **Supervisor rate (more than 7 days notice): $69.93 per hour
• Officer rate (less than 7 days notice): $69.93 per hour
• **Supervisor rate (less than 7 days notice): $81.58 per hour
• Funeral Escorts (flat fee): $174.82
• Vehicle Fee: $5.50 per hour (this only applies when a vehicle is requested by the vendor or required by the agency)

**Supervisor rate only applies if the Officer acts as the Event Supervisor. Events requiring four (4) or more Officers shall require at least one Supervisor and will be reviewed and decided upon by the agency. 

EDS will handle all invoicing and payment information will be included on the invoice.
