Voter Information

In order to vote in the State of Missouri, an individual must be 18 years or older and have registered by the deadline. Individuals can register in person at the Clay County Election Board Offices. The registration form requests information on identity, residence and voter qualifications, which is subsequently signed and sworn to, and witnessed by the election authority. Individuals can also register by mail at the driver’s license office or participating state agencies by filling out an application. 

In order to vote in the upcoming election, individuals must register before the fourth Wednesday prior to the election. Individuals who are prohibited from registering include: 

  • A person adjudged incapacitated
  • An individual who is imprisoned
  • A person on probation or parole after conviction of a felony until discharged
  • An individual convicted of a felony or misdemeanor connected with the right of suffrage
