Lifeguard Certification - Ellis & Associates Certification

New Certification Course:

Liberty Parks & Rec uses Ellis & Associates International Lifeguard Training Program to certify our lifeguards and other participants interested in obtaining their lifeguard training certification. The course fee includes adult, child, and infant CPR plus all test costs. Participants are taught how to anticipate, recognize, and respond to an aquatic emergency. Skills obtained during this program include rescue techniques for a guest in distress on the surface of the water, below the surface, and fully submerged (conscious and unconscious). Other program skills taught include the application of supplemental oxygen, the use of a bag-valve-mask, first aid, and AED application. This is for ages 15+.

  • March 6 - 8
  • March 20 - 22
  • March 27 - 29
  • April 10 - 12
  • April 24 - 26
  • May 8 - 10

Days and Times:

  • Fridays: 5 p.m. - 10 p.m.
  • Saturdays: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Sundays: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

All class end times are subject to change due to class size.

Recertification Course:

Participants applying for recertification should plan to attend the recertification session listed below. However, if you are unable to attend on the recertification date, you may attend a new certification session on Sunday at the re-certification price. Please note, recertification is only for individuals who currently have a valid Ellis & Associates certification and is not expired by 45 days.
