City Council, Boards & Commissions Meetings

  1. City Council Regular Session

    December 9, 2019, 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

    Regular sessions of the City Council generally are held on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 7 pm in the City Council Chambers at City Hall. It is at these meetings that City Council takes formal action.

  2. Planning and Zoning Commission

    The Planning and Zoning Commission is the primary advisory board to the Mayor and City Council on issues of land use and development in the City. The Commission reviews all land use applications in a public meeting setting and makes recommendations to the City Council based on adopted zoning regulations and comprehensive plan goals and objectives. The Commission also advises the City Council on land use and development policies affecting the growth of the community. The Commission is comprised of nine members appointed by the Mayor and City Council.

    Hop aboard the warm Liberty Access Bus and enjoy some spectacular Holiday Light displays in the Kansas City area! The bus will leave from the Liberty Community Center. Where are we going? You'll have to ride along to see! In years past we've enjoyed the Magic Tree in Lee's Summit, homes off Ward Pkwy, the Plaza Lights, Longview Lake and a music and light show in Overland Park.
