Nuisance Code Enforcement

Responsibilities

Nuisance Code Enforcement is responsible for responding to citizen complaints and periodic program inspections of residential neighborhoods to ensure compliance with the city's nuisance codes.

This division monitors garage sales, temporary signage and outside storage in the commercial districts, as well as common residential nuisances including unlicensed/inoperable vehicles, litter/trash, parking in the front yard and grass/weeds.

Liberty's Nuisance Code can be found in Chapter 21 of the City Code of Ordinances.

Register a Complaint

If you would like to register a complaint about a nuisance code issue, you can log and track your complaint online through the The Citizen Request Tracker (CRT). The CRT can be used to report your concerns to the city, nuisance code issues, street lights that are out, potholes or other concerns.

If you have questions about nuisances, please contact the code enforcement officer at 816.439.4539 or via email.
