Senior Services- Community Services Division

The Community Services Division strives to be a community resource for aging in place by providing information and referrals to older adults and their families to help connect them to a wide range of services. The Liberty Silver Center, Liberty Access Bus and Liberty Meals on Wheels are all run through the Liberty Community Center and provide transportation, nutritional services, safety checks and more. Common referrals include: minor home repairs, benefit checkups, Medicare counseling, SMP fraud prevention facts, housing options and more!

Liberty Silver Center

The Liberty Silver Center, located in the Liberty Community Center, is a place where older adults (60+) come to socialize, participate in activities and special events, and enjoy a hot nutritious meal.  Learn More »

Liberty Access Bus

Offering transportation within the city limits of Liberty for adults 60 and older to doctor appointments, the grocery store, pharmacy and Silver Center free of charge. Physically challenged individuals (ages 18-59) who do not have access to their own transportation may also utilize Liberty Access for a nominal fee. Learn More »

Meals on Wheels

Liberty Meals on Wheels delivers much more than just a meal to its recipients. At the core of our service is a nutritious meal, friendly visit and safety check for seniors living within the city limits of Liberty. Missouri SHIP - Medicare Assistance

Missouri SHIP is the Missouri State Health Insurance Assistance Program that provides free, unbiased assistance to individuals looking for help navigating the Medicare program. 

Liberty Parks & Rec and the Silver Center have an MOU with Missouri SHIP which allows Liberty seniors to make an appointment with Missouri SHIP counselors. Make an appointment online or by calling 1-800 390-3330. Missouri SHIP also provides annual consultations in person at the Silver Center to anyone who wants to review their Medicare plan information during the Open Enrollment period each Fall. Learn more »
