As we have promoted over the past year, the Liberty Parks and Recreation Department has moved away from its traditional, printed brochure, which was mailed to area residents three times each year.
Because we know it is easy to forget to check the website for updates, we have developed an e-mail newsletter that will come directly to your inbox. Once you sign up for the Rec News Flash, you'll receive updates two times per month with upcoming program deadlines for sports, aerobics, swim lessons and other Park events.
To register for Rec News click the link below, enter your e-mail address and select Rec News from the list of e-newsletters. NEVER MISS A DEADLINE AGAIN!
If you are already a subscriber to any of the City of Liberty News Flashes, you will need to add Rec News to your list of e-newsletters. To do this, you can click the link below, enter your email address and follow the directions to update your profile. Or click on the "Update profile/Email address" at the bottom of a recent News Flash.
The elimination of the Parks and Recreation brochure and distribution to more than 22,000 households is one step we have taken as part of a "Going Green" campaign. The brochure will still be available on-line through www.ci.liberty.mo.us/LPR.
We'll use the Rec News and Community News blurbs on the City's website to let you know when it's available. In addition, if you haven't already, you also will receive a reminder postcard in the mail.
We have also tried to make it easier and "greener" for you to register for many of our classes and programs through our on-line registration program. You can enroll for most programs on-line at www.ci.liberty.mo.us/parksonline.
