Monetary donations are still needed to help cover the expenses associated with the program. Each year, we give each household 3-4 boxes of canned goods, turkey, eggs, milk, butter, potatoes, flour, sugar and stuffing mix, which is made possible in part from monetary donations from area residents and businesses. In addition, the program will provide $20 per child for gifts.
If you are interested in giving a donation, you can do so through pay pal - just go to www.ci.liberty.mo.us/LCCT and click on the "Donate" button - or mail a check to the LCCT at 101 E. Kansas, Liberty, MO 64068.
Food donations are also being accepted. Each school in the Liberty district has drop off boxes available. Other drop-off sites include City Hall, the Liberty Community Center and Fire Station #1. Canned goods can be dropped off until Friday, December 4.
Individuals or organizations are needed to adopt families. If you're interested in helping a family this holiday season, come to the December 3 shoppers’ meeting at the Liberty Community Center, 1600 S. Withers or email us at lcct@ci.liberty.mo.us.
