The Planner assists with formulating and implementing the City’s current and long-range planning goals and is involved in all facets of community planning and development.
Duties include: conducting site plan and subdivision reviews; drafting and reviewing amendments to the Unified Development Ordinance, Comprehensive Plan and City Code; preparing and presenting detailed reports to City Council, Planning Commission and other commissions; and assisting the public with land use matters.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in planning or related field and 2 years experience. Experience requirements may be reduced for candidates with graduate degree in planning. Full salary range: $3,304 - $4,893 per month. Starting salary DOQ (typically not to exceed mid-point of range).
