Liberty Access by the Numbers: In the month of March Liberty Access provided a total of 714 rides. Trip breakdown:
- Grocery trips: 208
- Medical trips (doctor’s appointments, ongoing medical treatments, etc): 248
- Silver Center: 236
- Non-essential rides (such as trips to the bank, or non-grocery): 22
The Liberty Access Bus helps citizens age in place. The team strives to help the older and disabled residents of Liberty maintain their independence and remain in their homes for as long as possible. Transportation on essential trips for adults 60 and older is free of charge. Physically challenged individuals (ages 18 - 59 with current Social Security Disability Award) may utilize the Liberty Access Bus free of charge thanks to a MEHTAP Grant.
