[ARCHIVED] GivingTuesday

GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past eight years, it has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. Whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts.

Let’s come together to create a wave of generosity, citizen engagement and support. A few causes that you might be interested in supporting:

  • Liberty Meals on Wheels
    • Liberty Meals on Wheels  focuses on caring for individuals whose diminished mobility makes it hard to shop for food, prepare meals or socialize with others. The program has seen an increase in participants over the last couple of years and your donation would help provide support to keep up with producing meals. A gift of just $20 can buy meals for 5 local seniors. Every gift makes a difference to hungry seniors here in Clay county!
