No tricks about it, the City Park construction is wrapping up with finishing touches and the new amenities are sure to be a treat! Liberty Parks & Rec would like to invite you to a Halloween themed ribbon cutting and grand opening celebration on Wednesday, Oct. 27 from 4-6 p.m.
Come dressed in your Halloween costume as we kick things off with a ribbon cutting at 4 p.m. followed by a "trick or treat trail." Walk the perimeter trail around the playground and receive candy as we all enjoy the new inclusive playground.
Event parking - Parking at City Park is limited. In addition to the parking lot in front of the playground at the 291 entrance, additional parking is available by the baseball fields off of Olin Street.
Please note that the park will remain closed until the ribbon cutting event as we are finishing up the installation of the perimeter fence.
The newly renovated City Park was designed with kids of all abilities in mind. The playground and sprayground are both wheelchair accessible and the playground includes several wheelchair accessible amenities as well as a swing bay, musical instruments, climbers and several slides. This project was made possible thanks to voter approval of a 3/8-cent Use Tax in April 2018
