[ARCHIVED] Feeling Stir-Crazy?

As we continue to follow recommendations in regards to COVID-19, Liberty Parks & Rec wants to provide you with some family fun activities that you can participate in during your time at home.

Stress Relief Bingo

  • There are many ways to relieve stress by either meditating, listening to music, laughing out loud and moving around. During these times, you may be experiencing a little more stress than usual. The Liberty Parks & Rec Heath & Wellness team has put together a variety of activities to help relieve some stress.   

Outdoor Scavenger Hunt

  • There are many benefits to scavenger hunts that encourage creativity and thinking skills. If you are feeling cooped up, one major benefit of a scavenger hunt is getting outdoors. Get the eyes off screen and soak in some vitamin D while having fun. There are many things to look for on a scavenger hunt but we have compiled a list for you.

Explore Liberty Parks

  • Liberty’s parks and trails remain open for your outdoor recreation. While enjoying the fresh air, please follow social distancing guidelines outlined by the CDC. Liberty Parks & Rec suggests that activity at parks and greenspaces be limited to activities like walks, bike rides, disc golf, bubbles or playing catch that do not require groupings of people. 

Go on A Walk

  • Going for a walk is a great way to get stay healthy physically and mentally during a time when you may be feeling stir-crazy. Please keep recommendations for social distancing in mind to stay safe and enjoy the outdoors.
