[ARCHIVED] Pull out your dancing shoes for the Over 50 after 5:00 program’s Veterans Dance

The Liberty Parks & Recreation Department’s Over 50 after 5:00 program is hosting a fall dance celebrating all Veterans on Friday, November 9 at 6:00 p.m.

The 5 Star Jazz Band, which is comprised of local high schools students in the Northland, will provide lively Jazz and Patriotic music. The band has prepared a unique playlist for this special event. Personnel from Whiteman Air Force Base will be on hand to present a flag ceremony. This will be a spectacular evening with catered hors d’ oeuvres and lots of dancing.

The event is being held at the Liberty Community Center, 1600 S. Withers Rd. Admission is $6 per person before November 2 and $8 after November 2 with a $2 discount for veterans.

The Over 50 after 5:00 program strives to offer activities that encourage social, intellectual and physical activity for the 50 and better crowd. For more information on this and other activities, contact the City’s Senior Services Division at 816.439.4365 or visit www.ci.liberty.mo.us/SeniorServices.
