[ARCHIVED] Liberty residents can get rid of household hazardous waste in Excelsior Springs on May 5

In coordination with the MARC Solid Waste Management District’s Regional Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collection Program, Excelsior Springs will host a collection event on Saturday, May 5, from 8 a.m. to Noon at the city’s public works facility on the 1300 Block of S. Marietta Street.

Materials accepted include antifreeze, batteries, oil and paint ONLY. Because of their hazardous qualities, these items cannot be thrown out with the regular trash. Electronic waste and business waste will NOT be accepted.

Residents of Excelsior Springs, Glenaire, Kearney, Liberty, Pleasant Valley, Richmond, Smithville, unincorporated Clay County and other communities in the Regional HHW Collection Program can dispose of household hazardous waste at this special collection event at no charge.
