The City of Liberty, together with Historic Liberty, Inc., will again host a series of free architecture tours to highlight Liberty’s historic features.
These tours, which are a favorite among history and architecture buffs across the metropolitan area, take place on the first Saturday of the month from May to October. They are led by a variety of volunteers, including residents and local historians and feature a different tour each month.
The first tour of the season, on May 5, will be of the Jewell-Lightburne Historic District, led by historian Christopher Harris. All tours are free and open to the public. Tours are on foot; so, participants are reminded to wear comfortable walking shoes. All tours will begin at 10 a.m. and generally last an hour.
