In March, the City of Liberty will begin monthly testing of our outdoor warning sirens.
The first test is scheduled in conjunction with the statewide severe weather drill, which is currently scheduled for Tuesday, March 13 at 1:30 p.m. For more info about Missouri Severe Weather Awareness Week, plase visit www.crh.noaa.gov/lsx/?n=severeweek.
April through October, the tests will take place on the first Wednesday of each month at 11:00 a.m.
The Fire Department would also like to remind all citizens that the City’s outdoor warning sirens are designed to assist in alerting people within our community that are outdoors during a severe weather event. In order to provide indoor alerting it is highly suggested that you purchase a NOAA Radio, which can be found at several local retail businesses.
