With the National Weather Service at Pleasant Hill predicting heavy snowfall, ice and high winds, the best thing Liberty residents can do during this winter storm, if at all possible, is to stay off the streets.
If you do not have true emergency, please do not call 911. In this kind of weather, calls to the City's dispatching center escalate. Our dispatchers need to be available to direct emergency services to those that are truly in need.
If you have a non-injury, vehicular accident on private property, you can download a Private Property Accident Information Form download a form from the Police Department's website at www.ci.liberty.mo.us/LPD.
Residents also can make it easier on crews during winter storms by parking vehicles in driveways when possible. This makes it safer and more efficient for our City crews to plow the streets. Please also remember that if you have a sidewalk in front of your home or business, you are responsible for keeping it clear of snow and ice.
To check the status classes and programs at the Liberty Community Center, call the Inclement Weather Hotline at 439-4487. (This hotline does not contain info about sports programs).
Trash and recycling collection is currently on schedule. However, this could change if the weather deteriorates.
