Celebrate history while helping grow a greener Liberty! Liberty Parks & Rec and the Liberty Tree Board are offering residents the opportunity to be part of A Living Legacy Tree Planting Day: 250 Trees for 250 Years!
Liberty residents can apply to receive a tree to plant in their own yard as we work toward planting 250 trees that will benefit our community for generations to come.
Trees will be provided on April 11 and October 24 for self-planting. Each tree will come with all of the supplies and instructions needed to plant your tree. Apply today!

Hop to it! The Big Bunny Trail Hunt is coming your way!Looking for a Spring adventure the whole family will love? Join Liberty Parks & Rec for a fun hunt along the Liberty Hospital Walking Trail from Friday, April 3 - Sunday, April 12!Twelve bunnies will hide along the path and we need your help to find them. Print your Activity Sheet at home or swing by the Liberty Community Center to pick one up and hit the trail! Once completed, come to the Liberty Community Center Welcome Desk to claim your prize!The first 500 people to turn in their sheets will receive a special prize! Limit 1 prize per person. Participants must be present to claim their prize.This is a self-guided activity, so you can hunt at your own pace. We can’t wait to see you on the trail. Happy hunting!

Looking to make a difference in the Liberty community? Or, do you have a group that needs volunteer hours? Join Liberty Parks & Rec in the effort to clean up and improve Liberty's Cemeteries!
Work Days are held monthly on the third Saturday of the month, March - October. Some volunteer tasks include general clean-up, brush trimming, and cleaning/resetting historic headstones. Bring your own work gloves, shovels or rakes if you have them.
2026 Work Days:
- March 21 – Mt. Memorial
- April 18 – Fairview/New Hope
- May 16 – Fairview/New Hope
- June 20 – Fairview/New Hope
- July – NO WORK DAY
- August 15 – Fairview/New Hope
- September 19 – Mt. Memorial
- October 17 – Fairview/New Hope
Work days are scheduled from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Water will be provided. Please check the weather and dress accordingly. The event will be cancelled if it rains.

Working with Liberty Storm Swim Team Coaches, swimmers will focus on strength training and distance building skills, starts and turns and swim stroke techniques in a smaller, group environment.
This program is for swimmers who have previous experience on a swim team and have an understanding of the four main competitive swim strokes.
Winter/Spring registration is now open!
