Monthly bus pass prices will increase on the #69X-Liberty Express. Effective March 1, 2010, monthly passes will increase to $95, effective with the March pass. The one-way fare will remain $3.
Beginning Thursday, Feb. 25, passes will go on sale at public outlets and employer-subsidized passes will be calculated at the $95 price.
The pass price increase is in response to rising costs of operating Metro service. The increase has been approved by the City of Liberty, Mo., and the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority.
