The City of Liberty Utilities Department was awarded the Missouri Water Environmental Association's (MWEA) Safety Award for Large Collection Systems with 10 or more employees.
MWEA's Safety and Occupational Health Committee conducts an annual survey on safety practices in wastewater treatment and collection systems in the State of Missouri. The purpose of the Safety Survey is to gather injury data in an effort to make our workplaces safer and to determine eligibility for MWEA’s annual wastewater treatment facility and collection system safety awards.
The Liberty Wastewater Treatment Plant had no lost time accidents or injuries during the period from January to December 2017.
