[ARCHIVED] Rolling disturbance with shots fired; under investigation

Today at about 1:30 pm, Liberty police officers were dispatched to investigate a rolling disturbance involving two vehicles near Kansas Avenue and Forrest Street.  Prior to officers’ arrival, shots were reported fired from occupants of one vehicle towards another.

Witnesses report that one of the vehicles involved is a newer, red Ford car, possibly a Ford Focus, occupied by 2-3 persons. It has a Kansas City Royals placard on the front of vehicle in place of a license plate. No license plate number is available. Shots were reportedly fired from an occupant of the red car towards occupants of a white Chevrolet Impala. The red Ford fled westbound on Kansas Street.

There were no injuries. The case is currently under investigation.
