If you need a place to stay when temps are excessively cold or hot (90+ degrees), the Liberty Community Center (1600 S Withers Road) lobby is available to anyone, regardless of residency.
The Liberty Community Center is Open
Monday-Thursday: 5 a.m.-10 p.m.
Friday: 5 a.m.-9 p.m.
Saturday: 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
Sunday: 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
This area provides a place to get out of the extreme temperatures. People using the cooling center are encouraged to bring their necessary personal items like medicines and ready-to-eat snacks. Cooling center visitors may purchase a day pass if they would like to use the Liberty Community Center's other facilities.
Older adults 60 and over can also visit the Liberty Silver Center activities from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday - Friday. Lunch is available as well with a 48-hour reservation and a $2 donation is requested.
