Did You Know?  

Physically active communities typically spend $20 or more on parks per resident and are more likely to support low-cost physical activity and sport experiences for kids -   

The Liberty Parks & Rec Foundation (LPRF) is currently raising funds to support the youth scholarship program. Since the program began in 2009, 1,600 scholarships have been awarded and more than $125,000 toward financial assistance. They use at least 160 cubic yards of mulch each year. That’s 107,870 pounds, 54 tons or 2 tractor trailer trucks full! – LPR by the numbers


  •  Summer camps provide many benefits for kids including socializing, building friendships, limiting screen time, getting exercise, learning new things and making memories. –


  • 87 percent of people agree that parks and recreation is an important service provided by their local government. – NRPA 2021 Engagement Report
