The City of Liberty is in the process of updating its Comprehensive Land Use Plan. Regular updates will be posted on this page as the Comp Plan review process goes on, including the RFP bid selection process, community input meetings and more.
Due to COVID-19 precautions, the Comp Plan RFP has been postponed. Stay tuned for future updates that will be posted on this page.
The new, updated plan will utilize the City’s existing plan as the beginning point, and provide a vision, goals, objectives, and policies to guide the city’s development and redevelopment for the next 20 years. The plan will guide the City Council, various advisory boards, Planning & Zoning Commission, staff, developers, property owners, and residents on the appropriate growth and redevelopment for Liberty.
The updated plan will integrate all aspects of development including demographics, land use recommendations, parks, public facilities, infrastructure, transportation, environment, and economic trends. A critical component of the plan will be setting the vision for the city’s development and redevelopment.
The planning process will be guided by a Task Force appointed by the Mayor. The Comprehensive Plan Task Force will work directly with the consulting firm selected to undertake the Project.
