In January, the Liberty City Council unanimously approved asking voters to consider a use tax on the April 3 ballot to modernize funding sources for basic services and to provide funding for much needed capital improvements, including:

  • improvements to City Park, including a new inclusive playground, new expanded sprayground, new restrooms
  • improvements to the Liberty Community Center, including a much requested family restroom, additions to the outdoor swimming pool and fitness facilities
  • improvements to neighborhood parks

Join Mayor Lyndell Brenton to learn and ask questions about the proposed use tax on the April 3 ballot at:

  • 7 p.m. on March 20 at the Garrison Cultural Center, 502 N. Water St.
