Raising Resilient Kids: Conscious Discipline

This series will engage parents in learning the foundations of Conscious Discipline including self-regulation strategies, conflict resolution and building healthy relationships at home. Conscious Discipline provides a framework for us to understand the internal brain-body states that are most likely to produce  certain behaviors in children and in ourselves.  It provides a shift in the way adults see conflict so we can maintain composure and consciously respond to  difficult situations.  With this awareness we learn to consciously manage our own thoughts and emotions so we can help our children learn to do the same. The skills you will learn in this class will not only help parenting, but can be  used in every relationship you have.

This program will be presented  by Chelsea Lane. Chelsea is a Missouri First Steps Special Instructor and an Alternative School Teacher.  She is passionate about sharing this life-changing practice.
