Calling all artists! The Liberty Arts Commissions program is accepting applications for its 2018 Annual Grant, which is a $5,000 matching grant for an art or art related program or event with an emphasis on community engagement and bringing tourism to Liberty.

The Annual Grant requires at least a one-to-one dollar match, meaning the applicant must cover at least half of the expenses of the project or program through their own resources and monetary or in-kind donations.

The grant will be awarded to any art or art related program or event with an emphasis on community engagement and bringing tourism to Liberty. The projects must take place in Liberty, but any individual or organization in the greater Kansas City area is eligible to apply. Applications are due January 25, 2018.

More information about the Annual Grant and an online application are available through www.libertymissouri.gov/artgrants.

The Liberty Arts Commission’s Annual Grant program is funded through the Transient Guest Tax and is designed  to support art related programs and events that draw tourism to Liberty. Grant winner will be chosen based on artistic excellence, accomplishments to date and the promise of future achievement.
