Frequently Asked Questions: Assistance


When Can I Apply for Assistance?


We will be accepting applications Oct. 3-Nov. 11, 2016. Please call 816-439-4424 to apply between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Applications will not be accepted after Nov. 11. Applications must be submitted over the phone or online; no walk-ins or email.

What are the Guidelines?


All applicants must live within the Liberty (Missouri) School District boundaries. School aged children must have permanent residency in Liberty, Missouri and must live with the applicant. School aged children must also be enrolled in a Liberty school. Children younger than school aged must have permanent residency in Liberty and live with the applicant. Children 18 and older, living with applicant will be considered an adult. Please, only one application per household.

How do I Know if our Application is Accepted?


If you meet the guidelines listed above, your application will be accepted. If there are any questions about your application, we will contact you after November 11 to verify the information.

What Will we Receive?


All accepted applicants will receive 2-3 boxes of canned goods plus perishable food items which may include turkey, eggs, milk, butter and potatoes.

Are There Gifts for the Children?


Based on funds raised, it is anticipated that children will receive a gift. Gifts are usually items needed such as clothes, gloves, hats, coats, etc. Gifts are in the $25 price range.

How Will I Receive These Items?


A generous family/individual will adopt your family. They will contact you for gift suggestions. Please have suggestions available for each child in the $25 price range. On Saturday, December 10, 2016, the gifts and food will be delivered to you between 8 and 11 a.m. Please have a member of the household age 18 or older available to receive the food and gifts
