Thank you to everyone who came out to support and participate in our first Dirty Dog Mud Run. We ended up with 114 participants, including 85 participant/pooch pairs. We hope that everyone had a great time and we look forward to seeing you back on the course in the Spring of 2017!
Congratulations to all of our race participants! We loved seeing you take on the obstacles and finish strong in the mud pit. While this was not a chipped run, finishing times were recorded based on the start of the clock to the time you finished the cargo net. Finisher times are listed by participants name here »
We got some great action shots of you and your four legged friends. To view the photos, check out the event album on the City of Liberty Facebook Page. If you have posted any pictures from the event, we would love to see them. Please tag us @City of Liberty, Mo. Government on Facebook or @LibertyMissouri on Twitter.
Greg Isley Memorial Shelter:
Greg Isley was an avid dog-lover and frequently visited the park with his two welsh pembroke corgis, Cooper and Carrie, making good use of the open space for the dogs to run and play.
Since he had so much affection for his dogs, when he passed away in September 2015, the Isley family decided to honor him by collecting contributions to the Liberty Dog Park. The proceeds will be used to purchase and install a shade structure in the park. The Greg Isley Memorial Shelter is scheduled to be installed in the Fall of 2016.
