About the Committee
The purpose of the committee is to provide a comprehensive, prospective citizen review and public reporting of City operations in regard to approved special purpose sales taxes.

Established in 2008, the Citizen Sales Tax Oversight Committee is responsible for undertaking a comprehensive, prospective citizen review and public reporting of City operations in regard to approved special purpose sales taxes, which currently are: Capital Sales Tax, Fire Sales Tax, Parks Sales Tax and Transportation Sales Tax. The Committee reviews future actions applicable to the special purpose sales taxes, specifically voter intent of expenditures and annual review of the applicable budgets for these special purpose sales tax funds. The Committee is comprised of 9 voting members and a non-voting representative from the City Council.
